Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest child and only daughter of Richard McCormick, in 1956 - was born in Woodland Hills (California) on 5 August. The mother of the child was her house and aspiring to be a stay-at-home-mom. Michael, Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. At a very young time, McCormick loved to sing and dance. She would often put on puppet shows to entertain the children of the neighborhood. McCormick's fairytale began when she was six years old, and she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest. She then received a call by Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to work in the business of show production. McCormick received her first major break in 1964. She starred in the Mattel commercial for "Baby Pattaburp," the company's newest doll. Her next job of note was a television commercial for "Chatty" the doll. The show Wind It And It breaks was staged at La Jolla Playhouse and was subsequently followed. The Brady Bunch' In 1969, McCormick was chosen from the 1,200 youngsters who auditioned to play the youngest of three daughters on the new TV comedy The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. It lasted five years. McCormick admitted in her book, published in 2008 and titled Here's My Story: Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice in 2008, that Barry Williams was her screen brother. The actress was 16 years old and the actor was aged 19 at the time. "It was going to happen," said the woman, "but it never happened just at the right moment to us."
